Things that work well for me: Avoid emotional agitation/strain: - Craving, Obsession, Striving, Arguing, Over Excitement Guard my CHI - Reduce Input - Slow Down and Be Still Plan my day & stick to the schedule - Do one thing at a time mindfully Cleanliness = Godliness (higher conciousness) - Keep clean, wear clean clothes. Tidy Space - Keep it clean, Empty and Fresh Spend Time in Nature - Look, Listen, Feel and Breathe Meditate Be mindful -, Soak in the good Be Greatful for life as it is - not as I want it to be Eat Moderately - Healthy Unprocessed food - Longer Fasting window 'Meditation comprises all those methods that raise one's level of consciousness and transform one's life by acting directly on the mind itself.'

Journey OF a thousand words

Well here we go.  First Blog on my new blogger.  I have been inspired to take up the practice of writing more and maybe working on my touch typing.   I don't really have a goal in mind, other than it might be a good way to engage the right side of the brain, think on paper, and reflect on my experience.  Sort of like a diary. I wasn't sure what to call the blog - my first creative block - not a great start.  Notes to no-self is a buddhist take on the diary - No Self - Anatta - is a signpost to a mystery - the mystery of a life being lived but with no one at the centre - Of course there is the imagined self - rising and falling with thoughts, dreams, longings and fear - but it is just part of the scenery, unfolding, growing, changing and happening. Its not a perspective I inhabit all the time.  Woke up this morning and practice metta for 30mins.  A balance between wishing well and accepting what is.  If anything my practice is more about the latter at the moment - as if ju
